Maintenance
Auto Car Finance has a national network of maintenance suppliers to deliver the highest standards of servicing and repairs. Because each client has different requirements we offer three maintenance solutions.
Underwritten maintenance
A fixed monthly charge as part of your lease rental. Underwritten means Auto Car Finance carries the risk of all repairs, including the costly unexpected ones.
This is a great solution if you wish to eliminate the risks associated with repairs and maintenance of your fleet.
Budgeted maintenance
Similar to underwritten where a fixed amount is budgeted as part of your payment, but you carry the risk for all maintenance expenses, including the unexpected ones. If there is an unspent portion, this is returned to you at the end of the lease.
Budgeted maintenance is great for planning purposes because you can smooth out the monthly fluctuations that occur with maintenance expenses when you have a large fleet or a novated lease.
Do and Charge maintenance
Maintenance is charged each month as the cost is incurred and like Budgeted maintenance you carry the risk for all maintenance expenses, including the costly unexpected repairs. Each month the amount recharged will vary depending on how many vehicles are serviced and the total cost of repairs.
Fuel Cards
Fuel cards are a key component to successful Fleet Management for two reasons:
1. Fuel can make up 30% of running costs
2. Fuel transactions are the best way to capture regular odometer readings
Auto Car Finance has a preferred fuel card arrangement with Caltex. They have the largest fuel company card accepting network with over 2,000 StarCard accepting locations nationally and offer competitive pump based discounts. Your fuel transactions will be included on one invoice with your other fleet expenses managed by Auto Car Finance. This will save you time and administration costs because you no longer need to process multiple invoices from different suppliers.
A fuel card from Caltex also offers security and control with features such as:
- Odometer reading validation
- PINs that are chosen by the driver
- Purchases are restricted by product electronically
- Monthly and daily dollar purchase limits
Registration Management
If your lease includes Registration Management, Auto Car Finance will undertake the following:
- Arrange the registration of the vehicles prior to delivery. This cost is included as part of the vehicle invoice.
- At each subsequent registration renewal, Auto Car Finance will commence the renewal process well in advance of the due dates.
- Auto Car Finance will liaise directly with the driver/custodian to obtain a Certificate of Roadworthiness where applicable.
This will ensure all costs are recorded in the one system and eliminate simple administration tasks.
Traffic Infringements
Should Auto Car Finance receive a traffic infringement for your vehicle, we will identify the driver of the vehicle, with the help of your nominated contact, and then return the infringement to the relevant state agency so the fine can be sent to the nominated driver.
This can be a very time consuming and mundane task that is easily outsourced to Auto Car Finance. We have the resources to manage this so you can concentrate on running your business.
Accident Management
Auto Car Finance will assist your drivers when they are involved in an accident by providing a central contact number, organizing a tow to your nominated repairer and co-ordination of alternative transport if required. We will also advise the driver on the information they need to obtain from the other parties involved and if the Ambulance, Police or Fire Brigade need to be called.
A more comprehensive accident and repair management solution is also available where Auto Car Finance will perform the role of coordinator for you when a vehicle is involved in an accident. We will liaise with the driver, the repairer and the insurance company to ensure that the vehicle is returned to service quickly. With this solution repairs are carried out quickly with a focus on reducing costs without comprising repair quality or vehicle safety. This ensures reliability and that resale values are not affected.
